Ghost Rider

The big news of our launch week is the release of the trailer for Sony Picture's Ghost Rider. Due to hit cinemas in the UK 23rd March 2007, the film has been written by Mark Steven Johnson, who was behind Marvel's surprise hit Daredevil, and if the trailer if anything to go by, Johnson will be repeating his trick of keeping fans happy by including a number of iconic Ghost Rider comic moments.

Nic Cage plays the biker Johnny Blaze who he sells his soul to the devil Mephistopheles to save his dying father. Years later Mephistopheles returns to claim his half of the deal, transforming Blaze into the Ghost Rider in order to defeat Mephistopheles' wayward son, Blackheart.

Surprisingly, the trailer shows much of Ghost Rider in action, or is that to try and stem the tide of internet gossip that the film, which has been already delayed for a year, is floundering. But what do you think. Leave a comment and let us know.

While the movie may have been pushed back, Marvel's hype-machine definitely hasn't with a new ongoing comic coming our way in July. Here's the official blurb from Marvel…
